Christmas in the mall

I haven't been doing much lately. Christmas season working at the mall with the good, kind customers is fun. Christmas season working at the mall with the crazy, stupid extra long extended hours and the cranky, rude, ignorant, lazy and just plain horrible customers is hard, uncalled for and makes me wish that every person in this country should have to work in a store for an entire year the way that store clerks have to work.

I believe there would be kinder customers, less stealing, less damage to merchandise, and just a better work environment for clerks that are overworked, under paid, not appreciated by the big shots in a corporation with much bigger paychecks and the customers.

It seems like the customers get ruder every year. People Christmas is on the same day every year. If you don't believe me look at all your old calendars you have lying around. Shop early, don't be afraid to order items (if you have to), stop bitching about the prices in the stores (because all that stealing and damaging of merchandise just helps to raise the cost of the product--and if you can get it cheaper online then just shut up and buy it). Just remember that if you buy online, sometimes, not always, you might not get it and the online stores don't have the overhead that brick and mortar stores do, and you don't get customer service like brick and mortar stores do.

I urge you to remember this for all the birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays that you buy presents for. You have a calendar (if you don't then buy one), write every birthday, etc. down on it and buy the gift 2-6 weeks in advance, wrap it and it will be ready to give. Don't take it out on the clerks because you were to lazy to get something far enough in advance.

IF YOU HAVE TIME TO WATCH A MOVIE, SURF THE INTERNET, PLAY GAMES, OR ANY OTHER THING THAT IS NOT AS IMPORTANT THEN YOU HAVE TIME TO GET YOURSELF ORGANIZED AND GO GET WHAT YOU NEED TO FAR ENOUGH IN ADVANCE.
